Blending
Note: This is for Photoshop but can also be done in Paint Shop Pro if the correct tools are used.
These are the pictures I'm going to use for the blend
Step 1- Make a new canvas, I made mine 500x380.
Step 2- Drag both your images into the new canvas or you can also select the image then Ctrl+A > Ctrl+C (to copy) then select the blank canvas
and then Ctrl+V (to patse).
Step 3- Using the lasso tool (
) with the feather set to about 20px select the area you want blended. (in PSP the feather option in found in the tool options)
Step 4- Delete the selected area, make sure it's the top layer you are
deleting and not the one below it.
Step 5- Now try adding different effects to the picture, after a bit of playing round with the picture
